Our skating coaches and spacious ice will let you find speed and power. Skating lessons are available up to 4 times a week throughout the year at either the North Surrey or Fleetwood (SSLC) arena. We emphasize great skating skills starting with skating forward and backward, turning with sharp edges, and stopping.
We welcome children ages 3 and up, teens, and adults into our learn-to-skate lessons called CanSkate. CanSkate is organized into three fundamental areas including Agility, Balance & Control with a Fast Track to encourage speed and length of stride using the full perimeter of the ice. Skaters from Surrey, Delta, White Rock, Cloverdale, and beyond take part in our skating fun. Look for our new pre-teen to adult figure skating group classes!
Do you have a passion for figure skating?
We have both group and private lessons to suit your needs. Our Skate Canada and NCCP certified coaches teach footwork, stroking, spins and jumps up to 6 days a week. Boys and girls of all ages compete in freeskate, interpretive and ice dance. Our figure skaters build their performance skills in both on-ice and off-ice programs that encourage strength, flexibility and dance movement. Let our professional coaches teach your child to skate to the music and create memories of a lifetime!
Learn to stroke with power, precision and speed at the North Surrey Skating Club rink.

NSSC congratulates Stephanie D for a fabulous performance at the Canada Winter Games, Special O competition. It has been a commitment for Stephanie to follow the training plan and nutrition plan to qualify to go. It was even better to hear of her 3rd place finish in all of Canada at her first major games. Quite an accomplishment. We hope she heard our cheers!
We are checking sizes and taking orders for new club jackets until March 28th.
Thanks to the volunteer efforts of Culley Creative designs we have a new logo for the back of the jacket to advertise our club name with flare. Our NSSC Ookpik will remain on the sleeve of our jackets. Afterall, the NSSC Ookpik has been a strong supporter of our youth after 47 years.
